Green Star 3000

by pierre scott
(st-lambert, qc, canada)

Hi

My name is Pierre Scott and I bought my Green Star juicer late March 2010 and received it mid to late April 2010.

To juice vegetable and some fruits the machine works great. But the main reason why I bought this machine was to juice wheatgrass. When it comes to this it is another story.

The pulp gets stocked into the gears, it does no come out of the pulp outlet and all that comes out is foam. I have been trying for weeks now to get a good yield out of my grass without success.

If I juice a little of the wheatgrass, it is OK. But if I juice trays, the machine gets jammed after the one third of a tray. So I have to take it apart and so on for the whole 5 trays that I plant at a time.

I have tried to contact Tribest since the 23 rd of June without success. I think that this machine is not intended to juice a big quantity of wheatgrass at a time or my machine is a lemon which is quite possible.

I will get back on this later on.

Thanks
Pierre Scott

Green Star

Well, a Green Star is what you get when you don't do your homework. It is way overpriced for what it is, no matter what hype or people who don't know better will tell you.

Super Angel have taken their 5500 to a level where it works: a high juice yield, an excellent production rate, all stainless - no plastics, slow 82rpm to reduce oxidization, easy to clean. Makes the Green Star look like a toy. Anybody wanna buy a GS-3000 cheap?

$395 gone. Green star juicer is a fraud
by: Adria from Philly

Green Star Juicers is a fraud.
On July 26, 2010, I bought a green star juicer from 2-Life. Today the twin gears no longer work. I watched the video and each time the machine was used the gears were properly assembled. This machine is barely six months old, I paid $395 for it and now it isn't working.

I need to know what steps I need to take to get this machine returned. I feel as if my $395 was stolen from 2Life.

Using a greenstar can be tricky. When ever you change from one veg to a less fibrous you have to back out the spring loaded press until the pulp from the new veg appears, then you can add tension back to it. As for wheat grass, it works great. Use the veg screen and leave the spring press out completely. At first you will get some liquid from the pulp extractor but keep going, you can alway pour it right back in the top. I always run my pulp through several times and it does not get stuck. To help get all the pulp through I will send 1/2 carrot through to keep it moving. You will get some foam and I have heard that a little Udo's oil on the blades stops this but I have not had luck with it.
Wen it comes to keeping the pulp moving for other veg I constantly adjust the spring so it barely flows out. Too fast and you are going to miss some juice. Patrick

Green Life juicer same as Green Star
by: Josee

I have my Green life juicer since 2005 and it works wonderfully. I juice wheatgrass a lot. The trick is to cut the grass the day before and place it in a plastic bag remove the air and put it in the refrigerator. The next days you pass a bunch of grass under the water and juice it. You will have no clugging and less foam.

I juice between 12 and 20 trays of wheatgrass at a time and never had any problem. Don't try to go to fast.

good luck

Joe

Same Problem with Spinach
by: Julie

Dear Pierre,

I was making a normal veggie juice, not using wheatgrass, which in NYC is very costly. I was using a hefty dose of spinach which got stuck in everything, as I mentioned in my initial review. So disappointed for an expensive machine. Live and learn. Guess you must just juice small amounts.
