Main Features & Benefits

  • Small but Well-Built Construction – The auger housing is mounted on a sturdy aluminium base. The juicer has to be clamped on a solid, even surface (counter or tabletop) that is maximum 2.75″ thick and 2″ deep. For proper and easy operation the juicer has to be clamped on a level surface. The clamp, as well as the base, has rubber grips to prevent scratching of the table or counter surface.
  • Gentle Juicing- Living Juice full of Vitamins and Enzymes - the single auger fitted in the auger housing rotates slowly by the manual turning of the crank handle. The turning auger gently crushes the wheatgrass or other produce while squeezing out its juice and channeling it toward the juice outlet. This slow, cold process keeps the nutrients intact and instantly absorbable for the human body.

  • Versatality – besides wheat- or barley grass, the Z-Star can be used with other produce, too, although it’s not recommended for frequent juicing of fruits and hard veggies. It’s good to add an apple, peach, orange or carrot to go in the wheatgrass juice. You can even make peanut butter with it by removing the plug in the end cap.
  • Sleek, Petite Design – the green/silver color looks attractive. The see-through plastic juicing chamber lets you see how the auger crushes and presses the produce. The crank handle is removable saving you more space when you don’t use the machine.

User Reviews of the Z-Star Manual Wheatgrass Juicer

Here is a brief summary of user reviews on the Z-Star juice extractor

  • Solidly-built, simple appliance that does the job it was designed for pretty well. It juices wheatgrass and small amount of other vegetables and fruits quite efficiently, leaving dry pulp behind. With firmer produce, such as carrots or celery, more pressure has to be applied to push them down on the auger.
  • Makes more juice than a centrifugal machine.
  • Juice is a bit thick and pulpy much of which can be removed by using a sieve.
  • Many users complained about a design weakness: although the juicer jar feats neatly under the spout but it also reaches the pulp ejection opening so the pulp sometimes gets into juice container.

The Z-Star is a pretty good wheatgrass juicer that is also capable of juicing small amounts of fruits and vegetables. It’s a perfect fit for those who already own a fruit and vegetable juice extractor and want to start drinking fresh wheatgrass juice without having to spend a lot on another machine that does wheatgrass.

It’s an ideal machine for people who are constantly pressed on time but still want to incorporate freshly squeezed wheatgrass juice into their diet.
